The head of the Scorpion is known as Graffias, which originates from the word for crab. This is a lilac-hued star which is located on the head of the Scorpion. It is a triple star with a magnitude (or brightness) of 2.

Antares (Alpha Scorpii) represents the heart of the Scorpion. This is a first magnitude star that is fiery red in color, and easily spotted in the sky. It is also sometimes referred to as Cor Scorpii, which means “Scorpion’s heart” or the “Fire Star”.

There are three stars that represent the sting of the Scorpion. Lesath, in Arabic known as Al Las’ah is a 2nd magnitude star. Aculeus and Acumen are compared to the nature of the Moon and Mars. These stars are twin nebulas with magnitudes of 5 and 6 respectively.

Of course these aren’t all of the stars that make up the Scorpius constellation, but they are the most well known. You will enjoy picking these stars out of the sky, and naming them off to your friends.
